Unfortunately, there are many dogs arriving at the Brasov Triaj shelter, who never get chosen to be rehomed by other organisations, because they are older, disabled, have health issues, have been through the wars and bear the scars, too large, wrong colour, shy or just need a little extra TLC. Those individuals without our support would be condemned to spend the rest of their lives at the shelter, sharing the space with over 600 dogs at anyone time.
They have however proved time and time again to make fantastic friends for suitable families and homes and we just know that there are many wonderful people who want to stand up for these UnderDogs! All of them (and some cats) are vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, health checked and come with a European passport on arrival into the UK.
In addition to helping find homes for our UnderDogs, we also support large neutering campaigns in Romania to reduce the problem at it's source and regularly send vets to help with the teams on site. If you want to help contribute to these costs, please consider helping us (information on that can be found in the Donations / Help The Project page).
We work closely with the Cristina Lapis Foundation and our rescue partners, Oakwood Canine Services, Ruff Luck and Wonky Pets Rescue to re-home these dogs for life in the UK.
To do that we need your help. If you would like to adopt one of these beautiful souls and show them that the world really is a kinder place than they have experienced in the past, please utilise the links which will provide you with more information.
